Still Februrary?!?

I don’t know why but this year February seems longer than normal. 😉

I hope you took the time to read last night’s post (just one more down from this one). The video and song are powerful and deep. No doubt had I been there among the crowd or the soldiers, I would have treated Jesus exactly the same. It was for me that He was wounded and killed. Excellent thoughts for remembering the cost of our salvation and the depth of our gratitude to God. Honestly, I think if that presentation doesn’t move me to tears, there’s something wrong with me. I weep over it every time I watch and hear it. I hope it blesses you as you reflect on that message too.

We enjoyed having Tim and Michelle O’Brien and their 3 kidlets last weekend. They are considering some options for their 2nd term of ministry here in Mexico when they return from home assignment next January. One option they have involves coming and helping with the ministry center here (No Other Name Ministries Center). If they did that, Tim and I would likely work together in some way as I continue heading in the direction of leading the evangelistic ESL outreach envisioned as a core ministry there. Pray with us that God will give Tim and Michelle clarity and wisdom to understand what His will is for them for their next term.

For the first time since Dayton was born….both boys will be away from Dad and Mom for 3 whole nights! They’re heading to the Spiritual Emphasis Camp sponsored by Puebla Christian School and is about 3.5 hours from home. Of course, Dad and Mom are already missing them…hee-hee…forget that! We’re planning on heading to Cuernavaca for 2 nights and staying in the large home of our resident member care missionaries and just relax together, eat out and try to remember how to have a conversation without kids. I suspect we’ll probably end up talking about the kids! Pray with us that the boys will have a meaningful and safe time at camp and that Beth and I will enjoy our time together and focus on each other and the Lord for these couple of very rare days.
