The big D is having his 9th birthday on 8/11. Since Momma will be out of town on that date and since Sunday afternoons are typically best for varying schedules, we had a big b-day bash for him today. He was thrilled to finally get to have his big party.
We were joined by Jason, Kristin and Justin, the Hower family (4 kids), and the O’Brien family (4 kids, including Baby Jenna). The lunch menu was pretty much picked out by Dayton: Pizza (frozen from SAMs), Corndogs (frozen from SAMs), Cheesesticks (frozen from SAM’s…Dad’s choice so the adults could enjoy something), Cheetos & assorted Mexican chips (from SAMs), and chocolate ice cream (frozen from SAMs). I guess we’d have been in trouble without the local SAM’s Club.
After lunch, the kids played a number of games, knocked a Ben 10 piñata to its timely death, and played, and played, and played and made lots of fun messes.
