Living Water Amid the City of Destruction

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”  

~ John 4:10

 

 

I thought this perspective of the awful destruction of Marysville, Indiana (located just a few miles north of one the towns in which I lived in my childhood) makes a fitting example of the analogy from Pilgrim’s Progress and also of the words of Jesus Christ who freely gives the water of eternal life to the thirsty souls who come to him in faith.
