Family Time

We arrived in Chesterton, IN on Friday afternoon.  We enjoyed a few hours on Friday with almost all of Beth’s family, including her 3 siblings and mother.  Out of the entire immediate family, we were only missing Kim’s husband and three oldest boys who were unable to come out from Philadelphia.  Ken brought his family up from El Paso.  As only God could arrange such a rare family meeting, Ken and we had been planning coming to the area before we even knew that we would be crossing paths here in Chesterton and Kim decided she’d better try hard to make it here with whatever part of her family she could bring.  As it turned out, she still managed to bring 6 of her 9 kids.

Friday evening a family friend took some professional photos of the crew out at a local park.  I took a few shots as well.  I didn’t want to get in the way and so I wasn’t paying close attention to my camera settings so my group shot didn’t turn out well.  I did get some other shots to work.

Beth and I left yesterday afternoon for Downers Grove, IL to give a ministry update this morning at a supporting church over there.  So, we didn’t quite get in a full day with her sister Kim and kids yesterday before they left this morning at 5 a.m.  Cameron and Dayton stayed here though so they could get in as much cousin time as possible.  Cameron looks a little tired this afternoon and maybe a little sad to be missing the “older cousins.”  They sure had a great time while it lasted though.

Here are a few of the park shots:
