We’ve got one more day out in Wills Point before relocating for a few days to Dallas as we await our caravan to return home. We decided to splurge a little and take the boys to Six Flags over Texas yesterday.
Glad we did this yesterday because it was only hot at around 99 degrees. The coming days will be extremely hot. In Dallas, that’s a big deal and you really don’t want to be out all day in 107 degree weather.
We mostly went so that Cameron could experience real roller coasters for the first time. He’s ridden a small one in Mexico and he discovered that he loves to ride them. Dayton is more like his parents who really have no desire to leave the ground. I like rides as long as they don’t go around and around or go up and down or leave the ground or leave me soaking wet (especially if I’m carrying things that shouldn’t get wet which I would be carrying, of course). At Six Flags over Texas this means that I can pretty much enjoy the parking lot.
Anyway, despite finding relatively few things of interest for the three of us, we all had a pretty good time. Cameron had the time of his life.
I didn’t take any of our real cameras but managed to take a few shots with my iPod. In the video, Beth and Dayton were riding in the back seat of a splash ride called “Aquaman.” They knew they’d get wet. I don’t think they realized that meant getting soaked from head to toe. Dayton looked wetter than when he takes a bath! The video captured that fateful, watery moment of no return. I believe they were damp for the rest of the day and evening and even until they showered late last night! They might even still be a little wet today. 🙂
