Ever get the feeling that…

…someone either is a bit mathematically-challenged or perhaps thinks that the rest of us are?

Came across this at Sam’s Club today. We needed this particular item. Notice the original price was $60 pesos and the “new and improved sale price” which will save us $27 pesos is actually $5 pesos over the original price for two of these? Sad thing is that we noticed about a half-dozen other “sales” prices that were just like this one. The stock people were probably supposed to remove the old price and then put up the sales price so that suckers shoppers will think they’re getting a great deal.

In other news, we’re expecting the Grewatz kids here for their achievement testing on Monday and Tuesday. Their family just returned from a special trip to visit relatives. They live on the north side of Mexico City. While picking up groceries yesterday (just a few hours after returning from their trip), their car was stolen. Pray for them as they are navigating the legal and insurance systems and I presume the public transportation system as well. Welcome back to Mexico, right? Bummer for them, but we know that God is in control and does everything after the counsel of His own will and also for our good and His glory. Can’t complain about that! He’s up to something good. Pray for the Grewatz family and this difficult circumstance as well as for God’s provision for another vehicle.
