Today was our last group of classes for the spring/summer. With our co-workers leaving Mexico the various programs will fall on various ones from the local church that meets there (Abundant Life Bible Church). Presumably, I’ll be teaching English classes later this summer or fall. We’ll have to see how our schedule for the fall fills out with some new developments in our educational ministry. I suspect I’ll find room for teaching some English. I definitely want to keep working on building some relationships that the classes have brought about.
Today, students who participated in computers, basketball, art, English, and sewing were given certificates. The kids were thrilled to receive their certificates. We had a little party afterward with cake, tostadas, and some sweet drinks. I had some good conversation with Alejandro and his wife and took some pics of their really cute little girl who turns three in a couple weeks.
Nice. Good to get an inside look at the center that was only a dream when we were there! I saw some good art work. It’s also interesting to see those children, Mexican and Anglo, who remind me of all the children that we met, Mexican and Anglo (like yours) who were little then and now are grown or growing up! Say hey to both Beths for me please. Love reading and viewing y’all’s stuff. (I know I sound like a broken record.) Hugs.

thank-you Pattie…we appreciate you taking the time to follow this meandering blog. I’ll pass along your saludos a las Beti’s and give a good Texan greeting to Bob for us. You can hug and kiss him if you want…I guess that would be from you though. haha 🙂
